Threshold
A scoring tool ranks twenty people, and you set the line. Then the outcome comes in: who your line let through, who it turned away, and which group carried the mistakes.
How to play
- Read the scenario, what the score leans on, and what each group of people wants.
- Drag the line, tap the strip, or use the arrow keys. Some goals update as you move it.
- Lock it in to see who was wrongly let through and who was wrongly passed over, group by group.
- Choose the goal you would give up and why, then read what that trade costs.
What it teaches
A threshold looks like a technical setting, but it is a value choice. When a score leans on something unequal, like paid tutoring or a late bus, a single line makes different mistakes for different groups. Whoever sets the line decides who carries which mistake.
For educators
Play one scenario together and pause before the lock-in: ask where the class would put the line and who that protects. The closing questions about fixing the score, adding a human-review band, or using different evidence work well as a follow-up discussion.
