Rochna Roy, Ph.D.

Dr. Rochna Roy is an Assistant Professor of English Language and Literature in the Department of Basic Sciences (Humanities), School of Engineering, at Dayananda Sagar University, South Bengaluru, India. She holds a Ph.D. in English, with doctoral research on “New Bearings in the Poetry of Philip Larkin.” Her academic interests span English literature, language studies, gender studies, contemporary cultural narratives, and the intersection of English education with engineering and interdisciplinary learning.

She has an active research and publication profile spanning Philip Larkin studies, feminist perspectives, gender and sexual identities, mythology and contemporary literature, and English language pedagogy for engineering students. Alongside her scholarly work, she is the author of No, Enzo, No! (2025), a creative work centered on empathy, kindness, and abandoned animals. She teaches Engineering Communication and Technical Writing, Communication, and Personality Development to B.Tech and M.Tech (International) students.
